Pharmacogenomics has a strong potential to improve patient outcomes. Nurses play a critical role in pharmacogenomics’ research, and, therapeutics, and clinical care for patients. In this Pre-Congress Workshop, the faculty will share their extensive knowledge and experience with pharmacogenomics to inform current and future knowledge for nurses in genomics. The workshop is comprehensive for novel and advanced genomic nurses. It will cover the basics of pharmacogenomics, implications of pharmacogenomics testing, current use of pharmacogenomics therapeutics, and its utilization in clinical practice.
